Dr. Low Jin Rong is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Asian Healthcare Specialists. He specializes in glaucoma, cataract surgery, and general ophthalmology, offering advanced, patient-centred eye care.
Trained in Singapore’s top institutions, Dr. Low earned his medical degree from NUS and completed his ophthalmology residency with SingHealth. He holds fellowships from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (UK) and the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. His subspecialty training in glaucoma was completed through SNEC’s Glaucoma Fellowship Programme.
A passionate educator and innovator, Dr. Low has received multiple awards for teaching excellence and led curriculum development at SNEC and Duke-NUS Medical School. He is also known for pioneering work in Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS) and was among the first globally to implant the iStent infinite device outside the U.S.
In addition to treating patients across Southeast Asia, he remains active in research, education, and public outreach—frequently featured in media and speaking at international conferences. Dr. Low is committed to delivering evidence-based, minimally invasive, and personalized care to improve the vision and quality of life of his patients.
